Yanni's music is a blend of jazz, classical, and soft rock instrumentally music with historical monuments as backgrounds, including the Acropolis. He was born Yiánnis Chrysomállis, in Kalamata, Greece and displayed musical talent at age six with the piano. In 1972, Yanni moved to the United States for college and eventually launched his music career.
